2020 Nissan TITAN XD – a confident hauler with a fresh, bold design, more power and standard Safety Shield 360

WHAT'S NEW:
  • New 2020 TITAN XD offers the comfort of a light duty truck with the towing confidence of a heavy duty hauler
  • Retuned 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 – with 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque – now matched with new 9-speed automatic transmission
  • Bold new exterior with unique grille designs features powerful front end, available dual panel moonroof
  • Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology, a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems including class-exclusive Rear Automatic Braking1, is standard
  • Refined interior offers new Integrated Command Center with 9" high-resolution touchscreen display; standard front and rear Zero Gravity seats
  • New TITAN XD goes on sale in early 2020
Following the successful launch of the redesigned 2020 Nissan TITAN full-size pickup, the powerful 2020 TITAN XD takes its turn in the spotlight with a full slate of upgrades and enhancements for the new model year. The new TITAN XD shares many of the new features and technologies with the half-ton TITAN, but is built on a unique reinforced, fully boxed, full-length ladder frame – with sturdy braking provided by a 4-wheel disc system featuring substantial rear ventilated discs with hydraulic power assist.
The new 2020 TITAN XD offers confident towing and hauling usually provided by larger, more-expensive heavy-duty trucks, while still providing the comfort and nimbleness of a light-duty pickup. TITAN XD offers higher maximum towing and payload capacities than TITAN, reflecting the fact that towing capability traditionally ranks at the top of TITAN XD buyers' purchase considerations.
For 2020, the TITAN XD lineup is simplified to a Crew Cab body with a 6.5-foot bed and 4-wheel drive – helping to focus on the heart of the TITAN XD market. Key enhancements for the new TITAN XD include additional standard horsepower and torque, unique exterior and interior styling of the SL, PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve trims, advanced connectivity technology and features, and standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 – a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems – on all grade levels.
The 2020 Nissan TITAN XD continues to be covered by America's Best Truck Warranty2 – with 5-year/100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper coverage.
A unique frame, new 9-speed transmission and 400-horsepower Endurance® V8
Every TITAN XD model is built on a unique frame and chassis (compared to the TITAN). The fully boxed, full-length ladder frame is extensively reinforced and strengthened for TITAN XD to provide added stiffness, vertical and lateral bending, and torsional rigidity. It also features an extended 151.6-inch wheelbase – about 15 inches longer than TITAN models (Crew Cab comparison), allowing for a full-size, 6.5-foot bed.
For 2020, TITAN XD's standard 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine is now rated at 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque (versus the previous 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque). The engine again utilizes Nissan's VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) and Direct Injection Gas (DIG™) technology.
The engine is mated with a new 9-speed automatic transmission, replacing the previous 7-speed transmission. The larger final gear ratio of 4.083:1 (versus 3.692:1 for TITAN) provides more torque at the wheels in a given gear and smoother and faster acceleration. The larger range also means better coverage for optimal power on standing starts and at cruising speeds. The powertrain feel is more linear through the gears.
Braking is provided by a robust 4-wheel disc system with 14.2 x 1.5-inch front/14.4 x 1.2-inch rear ventilated discs with hydraulic power assist. The high brake fluid pressure generated by an electric pump assists brake pedal force for a confident feel.
The 2020 TITAN XD is available in 4x4 drive, with a transfer case designed to ensure maximum power distribution in every gear. It distributes torque to both ends and provides four-wheel drive when added traction is needed on snow, ice, sand, mud, dirt, water or gravel. Durable off-road performance features include Hill Start Assist and Brake Limited-Slip Differential (BLSD). PRO-4X models add standard Hill Descent Control and electronic locking rear differential.
The 2020 TITAN XD also features a new enhanced Off Road Gauge that displays the vehicle's tire angle, relative pitch and roll angles. Nissan engineers developed a new method to calculate the vehicle's orientation using accelerometer data and calculating the vehicle's G-force, without using a gyroscope. Nissan's new gauge is expected to be the most accurate (versus competition) at higher speeds.
Confident, intelligent towing
Helping TITAN XD owners take advantage of its ample towing power3 are a range of available hitches – including an integrated gooseneck hitch engineered into the frame and easily accessible in the bed. The integrated gooseneck hitch includes a plug inside the bed for even greater ease of towing.
Among the list of TITAN XD's available towing aids are an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, Trailer Sway Control (TSC), Tow/Haul Mode with Downhill Speed Control and a Trailer Light Check system that allows one-person hook-up operation – checking turn signals, brake lights and running/clearance lights from inside the cab or with the key fob.
TITAN XD owners will have a host of tools to assist with trailer hook-ups. This includes an available RearView Monitor with Trailer Guides and Nissan's Intelligent Around View® Monitor (I-AVM)4 that provides a composite "bird's eye" view of the surrounding area from front, rear and side cameras to help with tight parking or even off-roading at low speeds. The system also includes Moving Object Detection (MOD)5, which helps alert the driver to detected moving objects around the vehicle via an on-screen notification and warning chime.
A bold, redesigned exterior – and unique "faces" of TITAN XD
The 2020 TITAN XD redesign, like the TITAN, was led by a team at Nissan Design America (NDA) in La Jolla, Calif., and follows the "Powerful Warrior" design theme. The "modern armor" design is particularly appropriate for the attitude-heavy TITAN XD with its standard 4-wheel drive and available 20-inch wheels, and two-tone over-fender treatments.
Like TITAN, unique grille designs among trim levels give the TITAN XD a higher degree of differentiation among grade levels – allowing for more owner customization straight from the factory.
The new interlocking frame grille and surround is designed to convey strength, boldness and precision while enhancing cooling performance for the 5.6-liter V8 engine. Also completely redesigned for 2020 are the front bumper and wheel designs. On PRO-4X models, the first-ever Nissan badge with "lava red" accents is featured prominently on the grille.
The TITAN XD's bold front end includes available LED headlights and "double boomerang" LED Daytime Running Lights, which add a dramatic high-tech appearance. LED fog lights are also offered. High Beam Assist, which allows drivers to leave the light stalk in high beam position indefinitely without blinding drivers, is standard on all grades and is part of the standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology package.
In the rear, new all-LED lighting has been added to the pickup bed, using four light sources for full surround lighting. The rear also includes new LED lights that are designed to convey the look of solid quality and rigid machine structure. The new tailgate finishers, like the grille surrounds, are customized to differentiate grade levels. Just as the grilles feature unique personalities for each trim, TITAN XD PRO-4X features a black finisher, while Platinum Reserve utilizes a Satin Chrome finisher.
There are four new TITAN XD exterior colors – Red Alert, Baja Storm, Cardinal Red Metallic (premium color) and Super Black. Carryover colors include Brilliant Silver Metallic, Gun Metallic, Super Black, Pearl White TriCoat (premium color), Glacier White and Deep Blue Pearl. Color availability is matched specifically to model grades. In addition, the Platinum Reserve grade is available in four two-tone painted over-fender treatments, while PRO-4X features standard semi-gloss dark painted over-fenders.
A commanding interior loaded with technology
Interior comfort is another leading factor in why customers choose TITAN and TITAN XD. For 2020, commanding technology and premium comfort is abound throughout the new TITAN XD interior, which features robust construction, crafted detailing and premium finishes.
TITAN XD PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve models include a new Integrated Command Center with 9.0-inch WXGA touchscreen that features WXGA resolution. Like on the 2020 TITAN, it serves as the gateway to the enhanced next-generation connectivity that includes standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The new internal WiFi router allows passengers to stream their favorite content (WiFi subscription required, sold separately). Up to seven devices can be connected.
The 2020 TITAN and TITAN XD offer the new Nissan Concierge, which provides owners 24-hour access to a team of professional, live assistants at the push of a button. Nissan Concierge can help with tasks such as appointment scheduling, wake up calls, restaurant reservations and personal shopping.
The next-generation NissanConnect® allows over-the-air (OTA) software updates, new safety and security features, HD Traffic and Google Places/Search6. Also available on the 2020 TITAN XD is NissanConnect Services, a suite of convenience and security features that provide assistance when owners need it most – including remote access features and emergency response services. NissanConnect Services can be accessed from inside the vehicle, on a computer, on a smartphone or smartwatch app and with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
The 2020 TITAN XD offers a new, innovative flexible smartphone holder/charging system that allows drivers to keep cell phones steady and secure while driving. Also standard on every trim level is a 7.0-inch programmable driver information display, which helps ensure that customers can access meaningful vehicle information easily and clearly.
TITAN XD SL and Platinum Reserve models are available with a new Dual Panel Panoramic Moonroof, the first offered on TITAN XD and one of the largest in the segment measuring over three-feet square.
Inspiring "the emotion of a live performance," the 2020 TITAN and TITAN XD Fender Premium Audio System includes 12 speakers with an amplifier power of 485 watts through nine channels. For a more precise immersive performance, the Fender Premium Audio system incorporates Panasonic's proprietary Acoustic Motion Control™ technology, which helps reduce vibration in the individual speakers to provide an immersive and detailed sound unlike any in its class. The premium audio system is available on PRO-4X and standard on SL and Platinum Reserve TITAN XD models.
Among the 2020 TITAN XD's first-class interior accommodations are front and rear Zero Gravity seats, Nissan's innovative design that helps maximize posture positioning for enhanced comfort during long distance driving. For 2020, TITAN XD's interior also features premium seat and trim materials customized for each grade level. Interior storage has also been enhanced for the new model year, including front and rear door storage capacity and additional assist grips.
The TITAN XD PRO-4X includes a range of custom interior accents such as stain-resistance seat coverings with vinyl bolsters and PRO-4X embroidery, leather-wrapped steering wheel with unique contrasting stitching, metallic instrument panel finishers and black headliner.
Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 with six advanced systems
The 2020 TITAN XD, like the 2020 TITAN, is a showcase for Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, starting with standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 – a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems. Safety Shield 360 includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and class-exclusive Rear Automatic Braking.
The new TITAN XD also features a number of other available advanced technologies – Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Around View Monitor, Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Driver Alertness and Traffic Sign Recognition. Nissan's innovative Rear Door Alert is standard on all grade levels. The 2020 TITAN XD includes eight air bags (versus the previous six) and four seat belt pretensioners (versus the previous two).
The 2020 TITAN XD will be offered in Crew Cab body configurations, 4-wheel drive and five well-equipped grade levels – S, SV, PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve.

Nissan Autonomous Robot Eporo

Robots with laser beams

How did the robots “learn” this from fish? Nissan’s engineers studied how schools of fish, such as sardines, swim in dense formations while avoiding running into obstacles or each other.

Generally speaking, fish recognize their surroundings both through sight and their "lateral line” sense, enabled by pores along their body that can detect movement, vibration and pressure variations in the water around them. To mimic this, Eporo uses ultra-wide band communication technology and a laser range finder, which play the roles of sight and lateral line sense, respectively.

As multiple Eporo robots travel together, they use the ultra-wide band communication technology to transmit and receive signals from each other, exchanging information about their position, speed and orientation, while distance is calculated based on the signals’ round-trip time. At the same time, each unit’s laser range finder emits a beam to measure the distance to various obstacles.

As a result, the robot formation can freely change its shape and travel safely and efficiently in a variety of environments. Using their sensors, they can move smoothly around corners, navigate roads that narrow suddenly, and avoid obstacles. When encountering a bottleneck, the robots can continue to move forward while maintaining an appropriate distance.

2020 Nissan Titan WeatherTech AlloyCover Hard Tri-Fold Pickup Truck Bed Cover

Detailed image of product

The WeatherTech AlloyCover is a lightweight foldable hard truck bed cover for those looking to maximize security and durability without compromising style and aerodynamically-friendly qualities. This low-profile hard truck bed cover features an easy-to-use tri-fold design, which makes for effortless installation and removal. The Alloycover also features the AutoLatch II latching system that when paired with a locked tailgate provides excellent security. To further protect your cargo from unwanted access or vulnerabilities, the bed cover incorporates strong aluminum panels with durable, watertight, reinforced vinyl coated hinges. Each panel is made from aluminum alloy commonly found in commercial trailers – yeah, we got you covered!

With our products, we like to think it’s better to be seen than heard, which is why the hard truck bed cover is carefully designed to reduce unwanted vibrations and excessive noises commonly found in most bed covers. To solve these issues, we incorporated flexible rubber seals, vinyl coated hinges and reduced metal-on-metal contact allowing for a nice, quiet ride in front.

LOW PROFILE DESIGN
The truck bed cover sits less than half an inch above the truck bed and incorporates a textured matte black finish that blends with your truck's OEM bed caps to provide a sleek, consistent look.

ULTIMATE PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS
The water-shedding design and waterproof, reinforced vinyl coated hinges route water away from the bed without gutters or drains. The hard truck bed cover overlaps the bed rails with a continuous seal along the entire length of the side rails, preventing elements from entering the truck bed.

STRENGTH PAIRED WITH A LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN
Extruded aluminum channels support the panels to hold up to 400 pounds of evenly distributed weight, while weighing approximately 50 pounds for a high strength-to-weight ratio.

INTEGRATED STORAGE CLIPS
Sleek, retractable storage clips hold the hard truck bed cover secure, while rigid standoffs with rubber pads keep panels properly spaced in the folded position. No adjustments needed.

Nissan TITAN XT Breaks the Light Duty SnowPlow Barrier

Plow More Snow in Less Time with a TITAN XD!

This Titan was spotted on a Nissan dealers lot in Maine. I stopped to check out the 8 foot Fisher SnowPlow blade on this pickup.

This is the first pickup in its class that will support the use of a Heavy Duty SnowPlow blade. Further research shows that this Titan XD with the 4900 Lb front end rating could accept a heavy Duty snowplow up to 9 feet in length.  Boss SnowPlows will allow up to a 9.2 FT V-Blade on this pickup chassis

This is very significant, many of the other "domestic" pickups in this class will only allow a 7 1/2 foot plow because of their lower vehicle front weight ratings. This Titan will plow more snow in less time than competitive products

Note that the Nissan Titan is manufactured in the USA in Mississippi.

Find Fisher Plows Dealers in Oregon here: https://www.fisherplows.com/dealers/?q=Oregon%2C+USA&country=United+States&retarget=86m2pimpzmlhftf01574103478.3

CargoGlide 1000 Sliding Tray Review

Demonstration of the CargoGlide slide-out cargo tray, part number CG1000-7548. the use of this sliding tray makes it simple to load and unload your truck bed. The tray will extend to 70% of its length when fully extended. The tray will lock in several different positions along the track. There are six rollers on the tray to give it a smooth, gliding action. Four carrier rollers allow the tray to slide along the tracks, while two side thrust rollers make it easy to pull out on the tray when your truck is parked at any angle. There are tie down tracks built into the rear and side walls of the tray. Steel O ring anchors attach to these tracks and create adjustable tie down points. The tray is spray coated 3/4" plywood decking, which helps prevent skidding of cargo. The side and rear walls are 4" tall, with an actual inside height of 3-1/4". There are two handles located under the rear face plate, allowing you to pull the tray out. The left side, or the driver's side of the vehicle, is the locking handle, while the right side is the handle to help pull the tray out. The steel frame is coated in black powder coating and is durable and rust resistant. The unit comes fully assembled with specialized hardware for attaching to your bed. This unit is made in the USA. The tray weight capacity is 1,000 pounds. The tie down rack weight capacity is 650 pounds per anchor point. This unit comes with a 5-year warranty. This concludes our CargoGlide slide-out cargo tray demonstration, part number CG1000-7548.

2021 Nissan NV Cargo Overview

The Nissan NV Cargo is a workhorse by every measure, with its long, wide cargo floor, square-top wheelwell housings and nearly vertical sidewalls providing room to fit two 40x48-inch pallets, 10-foot piping or 4x8-foot drywall sheets. Along with maximizing cargo space, the sidewalls accommodate aftermarket storage systems without excessive modification. It offers the only available High Roof model in segment1 with rugged body-on-frame construction. The High Roof design provides most users the ability to walk, stand and work in the cargo area.

For 2021, the NV Cargo is available in a streamlined array of three grade levels, two powerplants and two roof configurations – including six Standard Roof and five High Roof models total. In addition, NissanConnect® with Navigation and Mobile Partner is now standard on 3500 SV and SL grades.

And, once again, all 2021 NV Cargo models come with America's Best Commercial Van Warranty2 – featuring bumper-to-bumper limited warranty coverage of 5 years/100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Exceptional Built-in Utility

The 2021 Nissan NV Cargo Van offers an array of smart functionality features. Since commercial vans must serve many functions – including acting as an office on the road or at a job site – storage and productivity items are integral to the design, rather than tacked-on afterthoughts. The result is a clean, practical and comfortable workspace for a wide variety of professions and businesses.

For example, High Roof models offer an available overhead console designed to hold work gloves, legal size binders, safety glasses and system books. The available lockable center console (removable) fits hanging files and laptop computers and includes a computer or mobile phone charging point, as well as a lid that slides forward to provide a more usable work surface. The available storage drawer under the driver's seat is ideal for storing paperwork, tools or other items that require quick access.

Along with being conceived as a "mobile office," the Nissan NV Cargo is designed to function as a "mobile workshop" – thanks to its wide door openings and simple, flexible cargo area layout with a long, wide cargo floor, square-top wheel well housings and nearly vertical sidewalls. The NV Cargo offers room between the wheelhouses to accommodate standard plywood or drywall sheets or pallets. A range of cargo area tie-down rings, along with ample cargo area lighting, further enhances the NV Cargo's utility.

Along with maximizing cargo space, the NV Cargo is designed to accommodate aftermarket customization and modifications with 57 interior reinforced integrated attachment points for installation of cargo customization equipment – requiring no sheet metal drilling. The nearly vertical sidewalls accommodate aftermarket storage systems without excessive modification.

The cargo area also features a full-length inner panel to help prevent cargo from denting the vehicle's outer skin (SV models). The roof attachment points are designed to accommodate installation of various ladder or utility rack systems without piercing holes in the roof, which can lead to corrosion and water leaks.

The cargo area also features standard "upfitter pre-wiring" for easy access into the electrical system, wide-coverage cargo area lighting and available power outlets including available 3-prong 120V outlet in center console and D-pillar locations.

Comfortable Seating and Standing

One of the overarching goals for the NV Cargo design was to combine pickup truck-like comfort, interior amenities and drivability with a cargo van's capacity and security. The Nissan NV Cargo interior answers one of the major unmet operator needs – driver comfort and roominess. The wide front doors provide easy ingress and egress, while supportive bucket seating with extensive adjustability, large armrests and a truck-like driving position with ample legroom and foot room enhance comfort.

The available center console (removable) provides a range of integrated storage features, while the fold-down passenger seat adds worktable functionality and enhances the cab's feeling of openness.

Another major contributor to the pickup-like cab is the absence of the traditional van engine "doghouse" that intrudes into the cab due to the setback engine placement. The Nissan NV Cargo utilizes a conventional truck engine layout with out-front engine design. This not only frees up space under the instrument panel and between the seats, it also provides easy under-hood access to the entire engine for routine service and maintenance.

The NV Cargo's ample cargo area offers a 120.0-inch cargo floor length and 70.2-inch maximum cargo floor width. NV Cargo Standard Roof models offer a maximum 55.8 cargo area height, among the tallest in class. Standard Roof NV Cargo models are designed to fit in most garages or go through most car washes and fast food drive-through lanes, along with offering easier reach to access roof racks. The NV Cargo High Roof provides a maximum 76.9-inch cargo room height – enough for most users to move about the cargo area while standing up straight.

Available technology includes NissanConnect® with Navigation and Mobile Partner. The system is now standard on NV3500 SV and SL grades and features a 5.8-inch color touch screen display, Voice Recognition for audio and navigation, SiriusXM® Traffic and SiriusXM® Travel Link (3-month free trial; SiriusXM® subscription required, sold separately).

A Workhorse Foundation

Cost of ownership and operation is another critical factor in the CV segment, whether for major fleet operations or individual business owners. The 2021 Nissan NV Cargo is offered in a choice of two dependable engines, starting with a 261-horsepower DOHC 24-valve 4.0-liter V6 with 281 lb-ft of torque. The engine includes Nissan's Continuous Valve Timing Control for improved efficiency and is matched with a refined, heavy-duty 5-speed automatic transmission.

The advanced 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine features 375 horsepower and 387 lb-ft of torque. The engine is matched with a heavy-duty 7-speed automatic transmission. The Endurance® V8 engine features four-valves per cylinder, Variable Valve Event & Lift, and Direct Injection. Throttle response is enhanced by directly controlling the intake valve, rather than using the traditional method of controlling intake with a throttle valve, and valve timing and opening with non-variable camshafts.

The Endurance® V8 engine features Direct Injection Gas (DIG™) technology, which provides better wide-open throttle performance and improved fuel economy and emissions performance (versus a non-direct-injection system) by reducing engine knock, improving combustion stability and offering precise injection control. An 11.2:1 compression ratio aids overall engine efficiency and performance and a Multi Control Valve (MCV) assists in managing the engine's thermal efficiency better than a traditional thermostat.

NV Cargo models equipped with the Endurance® V8 engine are outfitted with a 7-speed automatic, which features Adaptive Shift Control and Downshift Rev Matching.

Other standard NV Cargo equipment includes heavy-duty 4-wheel disc brakes with 14.1-inch front/14.3-inch rear rotors and 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System, engine-speed-sensitive hydraulic re-circulating ball steering system, independent front suspension with stabilizer bar, solid rear axle with leaf springs and stabilizer bar, 17-inch steel wheels and LT245/70R17 all-season tires (LT245/75R17 for 3500-series vans).

Safety systems include dual-stage supplemental front air bags, supplemental front seat-mounted side-impact air bags, roof-mounted curtain side-impact air bags with rollover sensor for front outboard occupant head protection and 3-point front seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters. Also standard is a Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Vehicle Dynamic Control.

All NV Cargo models come with America's Best Commercial Van Warranty2 – featuring bumper-to-bumper limited warranty coverage of 5 years/100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Nissan's Light Commercial Vehicle warranty was inspired in part by the stories of Nissan Commercial Vehicles experiencing remarkable longevity under real-world work circumstances with businesses.

Three Well-Equipped Models

The 2021 Nissan NV Cargo is offered in three well-equipped models – the V6-equipped NV1500; the NV2500 HD, which is offered with V6 and V8 engines; and the NV3500 HD with a standard V8 engine. All three models are available with the Standard Roof, while the High Roof body is offered in the NV2500 HD and NV3500 HD models only.

Three grade levels are available – S, SV and SL. The SV grade includes a long list of standard features, such as two additional audio speakers (four total), rear cargo mat, center console with sliding table and lockable storage (2500/3500 series only), rear sonar, 17-inch styled steel wheels and more.

The SL grade features chrome bumpers and grille, chrome-clad wheels, heated outside mirrors, 8-way power driver's seat and Vehicle Security System.

Three option packages are offered, including the Navigation Package (standard on NV3500), featuring SiriusXM® Radio (3-month free trial; SiriusXM® subscription required, sold separately) and NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Partner with 5.8-inch color touchscreen display. Also available are the Back Door Glass Package (all grades), and Vinyl Seat Package (S grade only) with vinyl seat upholstery.

The Nissan NV Cargo is available through a select network of authorized Nissan Commercial Vehicle dealers nationwide. For more information, please go to nissancommercialvehicles.com.

Best Van Equipment for Time Savings at Work

Time savings is a large part of a successful business. Keeping on track and on time is key to increasing your sales and overall gross profit. On a daily basis, there are simple things that can help you and your employees stay on track. Creating prioritized task lists for example, helps give perspective on what needs to be accomplished during the course of a day.

However, it’s also important to ensure you have the correct tools for time savings. Whether you’re a fleet owner or a sole proprietor with one van, it’s important to ensure the van equipment you have is going to help you save a couple extra minutes of your day.  Below is a list of van equipment designed for company time savings:

Rear Access Partition
Increase time savings by accessing your cargo space directly from your cab, with a walk-through partition. These partitions still offer you the safety you need while on the road, but also eliminates the need for you to exit your vehicle to access your cargo.

Nissan TITAN, Armada owner Mylo Fowler delivers hope to Navajo Nation

Navajo native brings water, solar power, learning kits to a homeland in dire need

SALT LAKE CITY – Nissan owner Mylo Fowler delivers fresh water and solar kits to families in need in Navajo Nation because he understands their struggle.

"I don't want a kid to have to go through the experiences that I had," says Fowler, who is from Navajo Nation, the largest Native American territory in the United States that spans throughout portions of Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. "It's amazing how not having running water or electricity can trickle down into so many other issues."

Over 30 percent of an estimated 55,000 Navajo Nation households do not have running water. Nearly just as many do not have electricity, according to the American Public Power Association. Fowler grew up in one of those households.

Looking back, he recalls a day during his freshman year of high school.

"I had just finished soccer practice, and I hadn't been able to shower for about a week-and-a-half," Fowler said. "Kids kept saying, 'Oh, you stink', or 'What do you do, put motor oil in your hair?' It just went on and on. As a kid, that sticks with you."

Fowler persevered. He credits his parents and grandmother for teaching him to "be grateful for what you have, not resentful for what you don't." Today, he is a successful and well-known nature photographer. But, as Fowler says, that just pays the bills.

Fowler sees his real job as a husband, father and humanitarian who has dedicated his life to his homeland.

A self-proclaimed truck lover, Fowler has done most of his Samaritan work behind the wheel of his 2006 Nissan Armada and 2012 Nissan TITAN, throughout some of the most rigorous landscapes in the country. Just last month, he added a new 2020 TITAN to his garage.

"Having a vehicle you can rely on to get through the rugged terrain – a vehicle that has the power and capability to get the work done and help you get back home safely – that's absolutely crucial," Fowler said. "Without these vehicles, I honestly don't know how I would get things done."

In 2015, 3 million gallons of highly toxic mine waste were accidentally spilled into the Gold King Mine in Colorado, causing devastating effects throughout the southwestern region, including Navajo Nation.

At the time, Fowler was preparing for his largest photography convention of the year. Instead of attending, he quickly built a website to sell his award-winning images online. He then used the profits to deliver seven semi-trailers of drinking water to desolate areas of Navajo Nation.

"That experience lit a fire within me," Fowler said.

Shortly after, Fowler partnered with the solar energy company Goal Zero, expanding his efforts to solar power. With his TITAN as his workhorse, Fowler has helped install more than 200 solar kits that bring power to homes that have never had it before.

Last year, a local teacher reached out after hearing a story on the local news about Fowler installing solar panels. The teacher had just given her students a writing assignment – if you had $100, what would you do with it? One second grader, who had also seen the news report, replied: Buy a solar panel.

"I told the teacher, I'll install a solar kit in his house within a week," Fowler said.

And that's what he did.

As he looks to the future, Fowler has big plans for his new 2020 TITAN, which last month delivered over 1,000 distant learning kits to Navajo Nation students, helping kids safely continue their education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It's going to get dirty," he says of his new truck. "It's going to make a difference, and it's going to change people's lives."

A Frontier first: Nissan NISMO off-road parts to debut at the 2020 Rebelle Rally

Team Wild Grace eyes top finish in Frontier loaded with new line of NISMO off-road parts, available later this fall

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan Frontier, already a legendary off-roader, will compete in the longest, most demanding off-road rally in the United States with a boost from an iconic Nissan brand - NISMO.

Nissan's storied NISMO Performance brand will debut a new line of off-road parts, including a high-performance suspension kit, an off-road bumper, off-road lighting and off-road wheels on the 2020 Frontier at the 2020 Rebelle Rally, which begins Oct. 8 in Lake Tahoe and culminates Oct. 17 in California's Imperial Sand Dunes.

NISMO off-road parts will be available for the 2005-2020 model year Frontier, 2016-2021 model year TITAN and 2005-2015 model year Xterra later this fall, and will also be offered on the forthcoming, next-generation Frontier. Products will be available through Nissan dealers, select NISMO retailers or via NISMOparts.nissanusa.com.

“We are fired up to watch Team Wild Grace show current and future Nissan Frontier owners what this beast can do on some of the most extreme terrain in the country,” said Michael Soutter, vice president, Nissan Aftersales U.S. “These new NISMO off-road parts, created by people who deeply understand trucks and the desire for ultimate off-road performance, will elevate Frontier to a new level of capability.”

Nissan is the only automaker to sponsor a team every year in the women's-only Rebelle Rally since it began in 2016. Behind the wheel of the more powerful 2020 Frontier, which features an all-new powertrain and best-in-class 310 horsepower1, Team Wild Grace co-captains Sedona Blinson and Lyn Woodward have high expectations following last year's team-best sixth place finish.

“We’ve taken the 2020 Frontier on a couple of trial runs, and it’s been an absolute rock star,” said Woodward. “I’m very excited about the extra power in the V6 – it’s a solid truck, and that’s what you need to compete out here.

“Our first goal is to always compete hard, but I don’t see any reason why Sedona and I can’t win it all this year.”

NISMO off-road Performance Suspension Kit

  • Specifically tuned for the additional weight of typical overlanding equipment such as camping gear, heavy-duty bumpers and larger, heavier tires.
  • Monotube, gas-pressurized shocks feature digressive valving that reacts to the most challenging off-road and trail conditions.
  • Front and rear shocks allow for additional wheel travel; rear shocks feature remote reservoir technology, which helps ensure optimum performance in demanding conditions.
  • System can provide up to a 2-inch lift over stock ride height2.
